The Night of Lights
Once a year, the moon grew round and golden, like a warm berry bun in the sky. That was the night of the Lantern Festival. All across Wimlet Hollow, the lanterns glowed. Every branch. Every mushroom. Every tiny round doorway. "It's my favorite night," whispered Lumi. Pip zipped past, his little red scarf fluttering. "Mine too!" Bruno set out a tray of warm buns. The whole Hollow sparkled.
